Hangzhou Friction Material Co., Ltd is a diversified investment entity transformed from a state-owned enterprise.
The registered fund of the new company is 19 million. We have total 790 staff among which 126 are professional technicians. To adapt to the development needs of modern enterprise, we have a fine selected team and simplified internal working procedures in order to facilitate the efficiency.
With total investment of 150millions, a manufacturing base occupied 66¡¯667 m2 (approx. 100mu, equals to 40905sqm of floor space) was established in Hangzhou Economic Development Zone. It is not only a sign for seeking the space of further development of the company but also to respond to the municipal government¡¯s call of constructing the biggest cultural plaza at the original site of our company, which occupies 105 mu. Yearly output of friction material is 8¡¯000 tons and million sets of brake shoe assembly. The newly built factory is a combination of researching, manufacturing and marketing. The factory matches its surroundings harmoniously. Taking the advantage of the convenient transportation network nearby and its ideal location, the new company possesses all the prerequisites of vitalizing the corporate culture that is development, innovation and humanization.
Inherited from the business of the old company, the new company not only imports the advanced equipment of manufacturing, testing but also introduces and applies the leading technology from US, Germany, UK, Japan, Spain and Taiwan, etc. We are now specialized in researching, developing, producing and selling the asbestos and non-asbestos friction material. And our product category covers as much as over 2¡¯000 types including (brake lining, brake pad, brake shoe, brake shoe assembly, brake roll, clutch facing, and paper base). To adapt to the change of global automobile industry and meet the needs of globalization of economy, we are now focusing on the researching, developing, producing and selling of non-asbestos friction material. We entered the long-term agreement on technique support with Frimatec at the end of 2002 to endow our company with lasting drive of growth and improve the quality of the friction material manufactured. Meanwhile, all our products will be undergoing a strict test with the advanced equipment at our research center according to the standards of Euro-America, Japan and China to secure a satisfied quality.
Our company is the first company in China granted with the qualification to supply for ShangHai Volkswagan Automotive Co., Ltd, and Audi of China First Automobile Group and it also supplies accessories for Nanjing Iveco Co., Ltd, Beijing light vehicle Co., Ltd, and LiuZhou Minibus Co., Ltd. And our company is the first one qualified in authentication of ISO 9001 quality system in domestic. Company has upgraded the quality system, and we have established quality manual and program documents, and our sales network covered all over China and export to south east Asia, Europe, and America.
Our products have reached a high level in the world, and have been the leader in friction field in domestic. The company has updated the quality system in 2000, established quality manual and procedure documents according to VDA6.1 and QS9000, and the company has been trial running already. According to the demand of automotive development, we have run our quality system by ISO/TS16949. TUV rheinlan people certify our quality system by ISO/TS16949 standard, and we passed ISO/TS16949-2002 certificate on 10th Dec 2003.
In order to seek bigger development space in such a furious competitive environment, Hangzhou Westlake automotive parts group co., ltd (China private enterprise top 500) purchased all of the stock of Hangzhou hangcheng friction material co., ltd (HFMC) though Zhejiang Property right transaction center at 29th December, 2007. Then the old configuration of hangcheng was end, which the staff stock-holding meeting held most of the stock of the company and the natural person held part of the stock. HFMC who has 60 years history began its new development chapter by this opportunity.
Now, the president Zhang Zhilin and general manager Shen Yongsheng reform HFMC by entrepreneur's strategic judgment. Through reform and innovation, HFMC will brilliant again in friction material industry.
